Case Study on Skin Packaging for Circular Plastic Ceiling Decorations
I. Packaging Materials and Equipment
When conducting vacuum skin packaging for circular plastic ceiling decorations, the materials and equipment used are as follows:
● Packaging Films: PE skin packaging film, self-adhesive Saran film.
● Cardboard: Fengyuan breathable cardboard.
● Packaging Machines: TB-390 skin packaging machine, 2012A-5580 vacuum skin packaging machine.
2. Origin of Packaging Requirements
The client's overseas buyer reported that the previously used shrink packaging had obvious defects. On one hand, the appearance of the packaging was not attractive enough; on the other hand, the product was prone to shifting on the cardboard. Based on these issues, the overseas buyer requested a vacuum skin packaging (Vacuum Skin Packaging) with better fixability and a more excellent appearance.
3. Solutions
To meet the client's needs, the project team adopted a skin packaging solution. Under the effect of vacuum suction, the skin packaging film can fit tightly on the surface of the circular ceiling decoration like skin. This not only firmly fixes the product on the cardboard but also presents a perfect appearance effect.
The overseas client originally specified the use of Saran film. However, considering the low value of the product and the client's concern about high packaging costs, the project team provided both PE skin packaging film and Saran film, and made sample skin packaging for the client's products.
Through actual tests, the results showed that the packaging effects of PE skin film and Saran skin film were almost the same. Taking cost factors into comprehensive consideration, the project team recommended the use of PE skin packaging film, which is more cost-effective.
